CodeGuard protects recoverable copies of website files and compatible databases in independent offsite storage. It also monitors file changes, includes MalwareGone remediation, and provides self-service recovery tools. Backups are currently stored on Amazon S3 using AES-256 server-side encryption.
Your CodeGuard service is provisioned automatically. For supported cPanel, Plesk, and DirectAdmin hosting, access is configured automatically where possible. If automatic SFTP or FTP setup is unavailable, your welcome email explains how to connect the website manually.
After activation, you can configure daily, weekly, or monthly website backups. Daily backup is recommended for frequently updated business, ecommerce, and WordPress websites. Your CodeGuard dashboard shows the recovery points currently available within your storage allocation.
Use single sign-on from your InterProWebHost Client Area to open the CodeGuard dashboard. From there, you can choose a timestamped recovery point and restore individual files or roll back the complete website without submitting a restore request.
Yes. MalwareGone remediation is included and uses CodeGuard's scanning and clean backup history to identify and remediate detected website malware. No security tool can prevent or remediate every possible incident, so Website Backup should remain part of a broader security and recovery plan.
Yes. Website Backup is a separately purchased recovery layer. Hosting disaster-recovery copies, where available, are courtesy operational backups and are not a substitute for a customer-managed or paid backup plan. See the Backup Policy.
