These Terms define the agreement for using InterProWebHost services. They cover service delivery, billing, cancellation, platform use, customer security and backups, enforcement, payment disputes, intellectual property, liability, and legal administration.
Agreement overview
These Terms of Service form the agreement between InterProWebHost and the customer using our services. By ordering, accessing, or using an InterProWebHost service, you agree to these Terms, our Acceptable Usage Policy, Privacy Policy, and any applicable service-specific terms.
This version restructures and modernizes the earlier Terms of Service published by InterProWebHost.
| Area | Terms at a glance |
|---|---|
| Billing | Services are billed in advance unless stated otherwise and may renew automatically until cancelled. |
| Service use | Use must comply with these Terms, the Acceptable Usage Policy, applicable law, and service-specific rules. |
| Security and backups | Customers must protect credentials, maintain applications, and keep independent copies of their data. |
| Enforcement | Services may be restricted, suspended, or terminated to address abuse, security, payment, legal, or operational risks. |
Services
We provide hosting, reseller hosting, VPS, dedicated servers, domains, email, backup, security, monitoring, SEO tools, website tools, and related digital services based on the plan selected at purchase.
We may improve, modify, replace, or discontinue services, features, or infrastructure where reasonably necessary for security, compliance, operational efficiency, or service quality.
Billing and payments
- All services are billed in advance unless otherwise stated
- Accounts may renew automatically at the selected billing term unless cancelled before renewal
- Renewal notices may be sent before the due date, but you remain responsible for monitoring your account and invoices
- Failure to pay on time may result in late fees, service interruption, suspension, or termination
Plan changes, upgrades, and downgrades
Customers may request upgrades or downgrades between eligible and compatible service plans made available through the Client Area. Availability depends on the current service, destination plan, billing cycle, provisioning system, resource requirements, account standing, and applicable third-party restrictions.
Where an automated plan change is available, the unused value of the current service period may be credited against the replacement plan's charge for the remainder of that billing period. Any amount due is presented before the order is completed. A plan change is not a cancellation and does not create a cash-refund entitlement unless expressly provided by the Refund Policy.
Downgrades may require the customer to reduce storage, accounts, licenses, resource usage, or other service components before the change can be completed. We may require manual review when a requested change could affect data, availability, licensing, compatibility, or service continuity.
Cancellation and termination
You may request cancellation before renewal through the appropriate account or support channel. Cancellation prevents future renewal but does not automatically entitle you to a refund for services already billed. Review the Refund Policy for additional details.
We may suspend, restrict, or terminate services without prior notice where necessary to protect our platform, customers, vendors, legal interests, or compliance obligations.
Acceptable usage
You agree to use our services in compliance with our Acceptable Usage Policy. Prohibited conduct includes, without limitation, spam, phishing, malware distribution, abusive scripts, fraud, copyright infringement, unlawful content, network abuse, and other misuse of our systems or services.
Violations may result in immediate suspension, termination, content removal, or other enforcement action without refund where applicable.
Resource usage
You are responsible for ensuring that storage, bandwidth, CPU, memory, disk I/O, mail flow, databases, and other resource use remains appropriate for the purchased service tier.
When a plan is described as “unmetered,” storage or bandwidth is not billed according to the amount used. Unmetered does not mean unlimited. Use must remain consistent with the normal operation of a personal or small-business website, the purchased plan, these Terms, and our Acceptable Usage Policy.
- Shared hosting may not be used as a bulk storage or archive platform
- High-load workloads may require migration to VPS, cloud, or dedicated infrastructure
- We may limit, suspend, or require remediation for use that disrupts service quality or harms other customers
Customer responsibilities
- Provide accurate, current, and complete account information
- Maintain the confidentiality of account credentials and access methods
- Keep hosted applications, plugins, themes, and scripts updated and secure
- Maintain independent backups of your data and content
- Ensure your use of our services complies with applicable laws and regulations
Security and abuse
Any attempt to undermine, exploit, attack, scan, or abuse our servers, network, customers, or vendors is prohibited. We may act immediately where we reasonably believe a service is compromised, abusive, illegal, or poses a risk to platform integrity.
Backups
You are solely responsible for backing up all data associated with your services. Maintain current, independently accessible copies of your website, databases, email, files, and configurations in a separate location.
For eligible hosting packages, you may request an attempted restore from a disaster-recovery backup created within the seven days preceding your request, if a usable copy is available. Any such restore is subject to applicable backup-service fees. Disaster-recovery restore assistance is provided as a courtesy, not an obligation, and backup availability, completeness, or restoration success is not guaranteed.
We do not maintain courtesy disaster-recovery backups for VPS, Dedicated Servers, Managed Servers, or OX Email/OX App Suite. A plan-specific or separately purchased backup service—including backup functionality expressly included with a Managed WordPress plan—is governed by its service description and stated retention and restore terms. No included or purchased backup service replaces your responsibility to maintain independent copies.
Chargebacks and disputes
You agree to contact InterProWebHost first to attempt to resolve billing concerns before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your payment provider.
- Services may be suspended while a chargeback or dispute is pending
- You remain responsible for valid charges, outstanding balances, and applicable fees
- Fraudulent or abusive disputes may result in permanent account termination
Copyright and DMCA
Customers must not use our services to infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights. We may remove content, suspend services, or terminate accounts in response to valid copyright complaints, repeat infringement, or other intellectual property violations.
Liability and disclaimers
Services are provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis, subject to applicable law. We do not guarantee that services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure.
Where an eligible service expressly references an uptime commitment, the measurement method, exclusions, claim requirements, and exclusive service-credit remedy are governed by our Service Level Agreement.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, InterProWebHost is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, punitive, or lost-profit damages.
To the extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the affected service during the three-month period immediately preceding the event giving rise to the claim.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by applicable laws of the United States and any other jurisdiction specified in your governing agreement or applicable order documentation, excluding conflict-of-law principles where not applicable.
Changes to terms
We may update these Terms to reflect operational, legal, platform, or policy changes. Updated terms become effective when posted unless otherwise stated. Continued use of our services after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
