A sponsorship connected to measurable engineering outcomes.

Formula SAE challenges students to operate as a complete engineering organization. The work spans research, design, manufacturing, testing, operations, fundraising, marketing, team management, and competition.

Our 2024-2025 sponsorship of the Formula Buckeyes FB-25 program reflected a belief that practical experience matters. Students were not only studying engineering principles; they were applying them to a complex vehicle, a demanding schedule, and measurable competitive outcomes.

The team's 2024 sponsor materials recorded nine trophies brought home to Columbus. Its official website independently highlights first-place finishes at Formula SAE Michigan, the Oakland Grand Prix, and the Pittsburgh Shootout. That season also concluded its internal-combustion era and created the foundation for the transition to Formula SAE Electric through FB-25.

The FB-25 program cycle

From an engineering concept to competition.

The 2024-2025 program plan moved through four connected phases, with each stage depending on the quality and reliability of the one before it.

  1. August-November

    Design

    Recruitment, team kickoff, design reviews, and development of new electric-vehicle powertrain concepts.

  2. November-February

    Manufacturing

    Physical construction of components and integration of the major engineering subsystems.

  3. February-June

    Testing

    Full-system testing, analysis of new designs, validation, and iterative refinement.

  4. June

    Competition

    Formula SAE Michigan, the Oakland Grand Prix, and the Pittsburgh Shootout.
