Log in to DirectAdmin to manage the hosting features included with your service. DirectAdmin is a hosting control panel, separate from the customer area used for billing and support. Use the panel address and credentials provided for your specific hosting account.
The dashboard may use Evolution or another DirectAdmin skin, so its appearance can differ from the video. Available tools depend on your hosting service and access level.
Before you start
- Locate the control-panel details in your hosting welcome information or service page. Do not assume your customer-area email and password are also your DirectAdmin login.
- Use the supplied HTTPS address. DirectAdmin commonly uses port 2222, but your provider may supply a different hostname, port, or access link.
Instructions
Open the supplied panel link
Use the DirectAdmin link provided for your hosting service. If the customer area offers a control-panel sign-in button for that service, you may use that authorized shortcut.
Check the destination
Confirm the browser is at the expected HTTPS hostname. If a certificate warning appears, verify the correct server address with support rather than ignoring the warning.
Enter the hosting credentials
Enter the DirectAdmin username and password assigned to the hosting account. Check capitalization and avoid extra spaces when copying values from a password manager.
Complete verification
If the account requests two-step verification, use its configured authenticator or approved recovery method. Do not send your password or verification codes to another person.
Confirm the account
After signing in, check the displayed account and domain list before changing settings. Sign out when finished, especially on a shared computer.
Check the result
- The DirectAdmin dashboard loads without a security warning and shows the hosting account you intended to manage.
- Your expected domain and available hosting tools appear at the account's permitted access level.
Troubleshooting
- The page will not load.
- Recheck the supplied address and port. A network may block access to a control-panel port; ask support for the supported access method.
- The username or password is rejected.
- Verify you are using hosting credentials, then follow the service's password-reset process or contact support. Repeated guessing can trigger access protection.
